I'll go the other way.....I rarely listen to anything with Pigpen. My preference starts with Keith (not that he lit the keys on fire)

Because you can say all you want about it,but there are thousands of shows to choose from and PigPen shows are way at the bottom of the latter.

In my world, I would agree with that. Many folks on the site love pigpen but if I'm dusting off something from my "tape vault" I tend to start with 73.

65 to 95 thats my motto!!! when i do listen to early stuff its usally 68 thru 70/ for the better sound quality compared to 66/67 which is so ,so. as for pig pen id rather hear pig sing the blues tunes rather than bobby, and have we forgotten that it was pig who lit up the stage during those 33 min lovelights while bobby screamed like a lil girl!!!or the monter caution do not stop on tracks and the seldom scene alligator,it was pig!!gee isnt it funny how all the keyboard players cept for t.c. are dead!!!!all in all i dig it all !!! the ship of the sun will alway's be sailed by the grateful dead!!!! peace my friends!!! wwd
